And Judy Had Two!

Judy had TWO babies that look JUST like Butch!

I didn't get any labor and delivery pictures like I did with Bell and Butch but I tell you what, those babies are so cute.
The one twin is a little bit smaller, but very scrappy, and it looks like he has no problem being the first on the food and even willing to fight for it.
Judy (unlike Bell) is an excellent mother and letting them both nurse while she goes out and on about her business.
Bell was lurking around taking inventory of the situation with Judy and the boys while her baby Butch was sleeping comfortably in front of the fire in the living room.
Oh well.
So this spring we have three identical little boys, I can't wait to see what kind of trouble they get into!

I made a rug yesterday.

Pastel purple, pink, yellow and blue flannel and I used narrow strips so it's tight not chunky.
I think I'll make a chunky one today.

I also made some swiffer sweeper covers that I love.
They work great and then I just toss them in the washing machine and I'll never ever have to spend money on swiffer sweeper pads again

Pretty nifty huh?
Ok, that's all.

Another New Baby!

*WARNING*
Graphic Photos Ahead

Guess what we got on Friday!

A brand new grannylamb!

I had gone to Wendy's for the morning and Six had gone to town and when we both got home and through the gate at the same time we noticed that Bell was not her usual loud mouth self.

She was just standing there quietly which if you knew Bell you would know that something must be up.
I drove in the driveway and Six jumped the fence to assess the situation.
It wasn't long before he came in with the news that Bell was about to be a mother!

I couldn't believe it... I didn't know rather I should boil water or rip some sheets so I got on the phone and called my sister.

After about an hour Six came in with the news, it was time, she in full labor.
But she was having a hard time.

So we called for back up from the neighbor Butch who helped Bell deliver the first black sheep of the family!

He was a perfect little lamb and everyone in the barnyard was so excited to see him.

Bell was such a good mom and so loving...

Until he tried to nurse.
Then she tried to kill him.
Every time.

We started him on colostrum right away and bottle fed him in between trying to get Bell to let him latch on, but each time he tried she just became more aggressive trying to stomp him and knocking him down.

We decided that since Bells mother didn't accept her and she was raised in the house...

She just figures it's our job to raise the babies.

And that's ok with me, I love our new baby.

We named him Butch.

After the neighbor who helped him out.
Literally.

The Big Switcharoo

You know ever since we moved here I wanted to be a farmer.
I wanted to plant fruit trees and have a huge pumpkin patch and serve hot cider and sell treats to the kids to feed to the goat and sheep.
I wanted to have a christmas tree patch up above the house and sell hot chocolate and give donkey sleigh rides.
I thought I could grow organic heirloom vegetables in the hunk of pasture beside the house and set up a roadside stand and sell my produce, handmade soaps and canning jar candles.
I had all of these big plans and dreams about being the Fat Bottom Farm (I wanted it to be the Fat Ass Farm, a play on my ass AND our donkeys but it wasn't very family friendly) but somehow we never could pull things together enough to make anything happen and that's ok I guess because now I'm a Grannyma.
I will grow grannybabies.
I will love them and hold them and feed them and wash them and make stuff for them.
I figured people may of been coming here under the assumption of hearing stories and getting tips on actual real farm things so I decided I would go back to where it all began, the trailerparks blog, so as not to be misleading to farmers, and I don't know if I even transferred my domain right so I may be talking to myself right now.
I still have the Grannyma Blog only for those who CHOSE to hear me ramble on about my perfect little fun size grannyman and then on this blog I'll talk about kids and cats and dogs and donkeys and crafts and recipes and all the other stuff we do and if I do grow something to eat I'll take a picture of it and show you.

So here's what's new...

Kenna and her mom Cheryl and her two boys Jared and Ian and Ginger and her daughter Kelsey and her two boys Henry who's two and Finnegan who is BRAND new and Donna came to my house not yesterday but the day before and we had SO much fun!
I was so excited to see everyone that I just went around cleaning toilets and sweeping floors all morning and forgot to put on company clothes so I looked like a crazy cat lady when they got here but I was so excited to see everyone that I really didn't care.
I just walked around pretending in my head that I looked like June Cleaver and that the fat around my neck was really a strand of pearls and had the best time ever.

Here's some pictures.

Fun right!

My favorite fat cat Astro went outside on Monday and never came back.

I was so sad I couldn't even talk about it.
But he came home last night!
But I woke up this morning and he was gone again.
He must be on a big hunt.

My year is almost up with Verizon so I can get a new phone but I think I'm going back to a blackberry 8330 my all time favorite phone instead of upgrading and then I'll go for the two year upgrade next year and maybe get an iPhone.

This is the phone I have now and I don't really like it.

This is my favorite phone in the whole world.

I found a new in the box 8330 on Craigslist last night for fifty bucks.
The guy said something happened to his other one so Verizon sent him a new one and while he was waiting for it to come in the mail he and his wife went to the Verizon store and got iPhones.
He said he'd meet Six at the Verizon store and then they can just do what they do to make my old LG my new used Blackberry.
I know you probably think it's dumb to go back in technology time, but I'm happy there with my buttons and rolly ball.

Did I tell you about the mini chicken pot pies?
O.M.G.
Go here to the Country Cook for the recipe.

I think That's all for today.

Happy Birthday Wyatt!!

This is just a small scattering of photographs since we moved to the farm in 2006.

I don't think you could handle the entire thirteen years!
