Welcome to Farm Friend Friday!
Be sure to check out all the other fabulous farm blogs at the Verde farm!
Wyatt is still sick today.
I wish there was something I could do to make him feel better, but I think we're just going to have to wait this one out.
I have a beat up duck in the garage.
I have a beat up duck and a blind peacock in the garage and the peacock is none to happy about having to share his digs with the duck.
Pepper has been blind since we got him so he sleeps in the garage because he wouldn't be able to make his way in the hen house at night with rest of the flock, but the duck is in the garage because of the Bad Baby Buddy.
You see Buddy spends his day taking stock of the livestock.
He makes his way from one pasture to another making sure everyone is doing what they're supposed to be doing, but his favorite stop is the barnyard with Belle, Nanny and Pearl and of course all the birds.
He spends hours down there playing, mostly with Belle because Pearl doesn't really like to play...
Don't worry about the duck though, she's living the good life in the garage and probably thinks Pepper is without a doubt the best looking duck she's ever seen.
That's all I've got today.
Oh wait.
Did you watch Idol last night?
What do you think of the new judges?
Ok, that's all.
Still no call about the job.
Peas.
You're a friggin riot, I love you:-)
ReplyDeleteLove this post and the pictures. No Idol for me this season. Last year sucked...and Simon was the only thing saving it. So now that he's gone...no Idol for me.
ReplyDeletePoor duck :( I can't even let my dogs out of the house because they'd prolly eat Mom's ducks. So they are strictly relegated to the doggy door, which goes directly to the doggy yard. Oh well, it's a pretty big doggy yard, they don't complain too much.
ReplyDeleteAs far as Idol is concerned: Steven Tyler - goofy, entertaining, kind of charming, who knew?
Hun you crack me up!!! I love see all your family. They are just amazing! I'm sorry to hear about the duck, but hey living it up for a while got to be nice :)
ReplyDeleteHahaha. Poor duck. All that livestock sounds like fun. But then, I don't do the work..
ReplyDeleteHaha! Loved the story!! poor duck! Beautiful peacock!!! I bet things never get dull around there!
ReplyDeleteSo jealous of all your animal babies. Love the beautiful peacock, poor duck, but I am sure you will soon have him playing duck duck goose asap!
ReplyDeleteLove Steven Tyler as a judge. J-Lo might want to go back to the block. She's too lenient. They all were this week.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog...and your animals.
Marilyn, even just a picture of Pepper gives me a shudder. I can't look at most birds without being sure they are predatory.
ReplyDeleteAre you only taking pictures of your pretty, feathered chickens? Where's the ugly one they're in the process of pecking to death - don't tell me there aren't any, because I'd have to believe your chickens are on heavy doses of tranquilizers if they're not doing what comes naturally.
I will admit though, ducks don't LOOK evil, though I'm quite sure they'd make an exception in my case.
ps. LOVE, love, LOVE! the font you are using for your titles and signature. Beautiful.
Hahahaha Animals really do have their own strange personalities and quirks. I cant believe the albino (?) peacock. Great post.

ReplyDeleteLove all your animals! I love AI and I love the judges, they are so funny!
ReplyDeleteLove your white peacock. I lost mine last winter. :-( Hope your little duck recovers soon. It looks like you have quite the menagerie to referee.
