Hair Day

Julie is having her hair done by Denise today! Lucky. I wish I could go just to see everbody. Mikyl' does a fine job on my hair, I'm not complaining about that. I just miss everyone and having fun conversations about everything and people you know.
Just now, Shelly emailed to tell me Vic called her an enabler. I don't even know who Vic is.
I've been thinking about going to work in a funeral home later, but I think maybe I want to work at a little greasy cafe'. Like Coffee Corner. Where you get to know everybody and all their business. Maybe Bi-Mart, then I could get a discount on stuff. But waitressing I could make a few bucks in tips. Maybe I could go to collage and get an LPN and work in a hospital...no, nursing home. I like old people. If I went to work in a nursing home as an LPN, I don't think I would have to do all the really dirty oogy work. Maybe I would. Forget nursing. Maybe I should just forget about getting a job, and start GOING to some greasy cafe' every day and get to know people and all their business that way.. Thats not so good though, because that's just spending money and not making any. Plus, I bet I'd get even fatter eating diner food all the time. To bad there wasn't some sort of job that entailed just having fun and talking and then going home whenever you wanted. Maybe that's considered unemployment in the trailer park. Any way, Julie's appt is at 11:45 so if anyone wants to swing in to Roots in Burlington and say HI, that would be fun : )

I made my first waffles this morning. They turned out perfect and GK was diggin the waffle action. He's on his way to town now to take all his tax stuff in to the tax lady. It has been a long process, but it's done. If you stop and think about all the things that have happened since he started. OH my.
John isn't coming over today. His shoulder is really bothering him. I hope he's feeling better tomorrow. Wyatt is so excited about having him be Grandpa John at school. It starts at 1:30 and goes until three. That's a long time for old people to drink punch and eat cookies with a bunch of eight year olds. I bet if they were to just turn off their hearing aids it would be a good time.
Have you noticed old people are changing? You figure in twenty years the old people will be the ones who were teenagers in the 70's. Old people now talk about living through the war and the depression, old cars and new t.v.
They were dirt farmers and New Yorkers who sat on stoops and hollered at neighbors.
In twenty years, we're going to hear about polyester disco suits and the Bee Gee's. ElCamino's and the Oakridge Boys.
Microwaves and moon walks, both Neil Armstrong AND Micheal Jackson. Weird huh?

Last night Ingrid babysat Wyatt from Friday Harbor while Mike and I went to town. We just put the computer on video chat and told Wyatt to stay in the kitchen. How cool is that?! He and Olin talked and monkeyed around for an hour or so, and when we got back everything was golden. Wyatt was still sitting in the kitchen talking to his cousins eating go-gurt.
I'm watching Frankie and Johny. I love this movie. I love Al Pacino. If you haven't seen it, rent it.
K, that's enough for now.
Ciao'
