Bad Bra Blues

I hate buying new bras.
I just spent all of Wyatts lunch money a fortune on two.
One fits, one is pure mayhem.

And why is that... Why can't they all fit the SAME!
My armpits are bleeding as I write this, I'm going to need sutures to heal, but if I even try going "comando" I end up with sweat rings on my thighs.

So throw those new two in the drawer alongside all the other bad bras I own and I could open a roadside tourist attraction.
You know, like the biggest rubber band ball, I could have the biggest
(in more ways than one)
bad bra ball and I could display it in the front yard by the gate and sell tickets and refreshments and have Pearl the Pig and Belle the Sheep out there proclaiming their independence from the underwire.
They could be standing in a pen with signs on their back saying they'd rather wear a hot wire than an underwire.

All I ask is this, why can't someone make a comfortable king size bra?
It doesn't have to be pretty, an equivalent to the tighty whitey would be sufficient for me.
Something without stainless steel or too much spandex, just nice cotton containment.
Seriously, is that asking too much?

  1. You are hilarious, but I feel your pain. My only comfortable bra is a NURSING bra! I haven't needed one of those for about 7 mos.

  2. Victoria's Secret Racerback Bras...they don't slip off your shoulders or dig into your back. They are a little spandexy, but they always put my girls right up where I wish they would fall naturally. I of course opt out of the complimentary sizing offered by the sales attendant, but I don't like to hug people, much less have someone messure my underparts.

  3. It is worth it to go and get fitted. Most places don't charge and a lingerie shop WILL find you a bra that suits. Victoria's secret is very good at doing so. They are expensive but they last like iron.

  4. I just want a bra that is supportive enough to keep my boobs away from my belly button and make them look firm like they were pre-nursing. Damn kids sucked the life right out of them!

  5. It's horrible to try and find comfort sometimes.

  6. poor bus buddy. i go to lane bryant, i have the women there fit me, it's free, and i have worn there bras for years and love them. they can be uncomfortable for a day or two but then they conform to fit you. for someone my size, 42dd, to find a bra that fits, doesn't croud my girls, give an extra set of twins or leave tread marks on my shoulders, is no small thing. they are spendy, but worth it. you should give them a try.

  7. I've got the opposite problem when it comes to size, and I can't find any bras, either! I don't know what's worse- bras or shoes.
