Overposting

And self promoting!

I just thought I would let you know there's some suds and rugs available in my Etsy shop...

The soaps are pumpkin spice (a great kitchen soap) cucumber melon and nettle.

You can click the Etsy link above or here to see more!

Ok, that's all for today I think I promise.

Super Clean!

Have I mentioned how much I love this stuff?

Well I do.
For everything in the house.
But here's my favorite.
Sweep the floor.
Put on my handy dandy swiffer sweeper cover...

Except I use a cotton one instead of an acrylic one but I only had a picture of an acrylic one.
And then I spray the floor and scrub!

Walaa!

It's perfect with my rotten back because I get a floor that is just as good as hand scrubbed without having to sprawl out on the floor and then wait for someone to get home to yard me back up.
I'm not even kidding you, it's amazing.
I could do it every day if I wanted to, but I wouldn't ever want to.

Anyway, I just thought I would share this little tip with you, and Clorox if you're listening I'll take a case in the original non lemon scented please and thank you.

Snowmageddon!

I can't believe it's March and we're getting our first real snowfall of the year!
last night it was pouring down rain when sometime around midnight things turned eerily silent...
I got out of bed and went to the window, turned on the outside light and saw big fat chunks of white stuff falling from the sky covering everything around me.

Oh well, what are you gonna do?
Wyatt has the day off from school
(They didn't actually cancel school in his district, but hey it's March and we have eight or so inches of snow so I call a snow day)
and Six is home from his new job doing what he used to do but is now doing as a second job, driving log truck.
Times are tight here on the farm and with my rotten broken body and Safeway only calling once or twice a week (if that) Six had to take on a second job which is really like a first job because the first job is really not even like a job at all.
And who cares anyway, he loves driving log truck and the more time that passes the higher his seniority goes at Safeway and the better off we'll be in the future.

We still have three lambs in the garage that I'm bottle feeding.
Butch is big enough to be out in the barnyard but spoiled enough to stay warm and dry inside and toss back a warm bottle four or five times a day.

The girls are still small but think they're as big as their older brother.
They follow him everywhere and all three love to jump and tumble around the barnyard when they go out to play with the real sheep.
Pickle is the smallest but the scrappiest, and Polly is the pretty sneaky sis, squeezing through fences and venturing a little farther out than the other two and Butch is a cry baby just like his mother.

The big news around the barnyard is that my real life grannybaby is moving in to the little house next door!
All the driving back and forth to their house and back and forth to their house and then to town and back for doctors and errands is getting to be a real pain in the a$$ so having them next door will be a huge relief for all of us.
I still consider him our special little fragile baby boy and he needs a little extra TLC.
Having a preemie is a big job for first time parents so I feel so so blessed to be able to have them close.

We will sure miss our neighbor Butch who in the last year has became a part of our family and we hope to stay close to him as the years go on ❤

Speaking of my grannybaby, he weighed almost eight pounds at his checkup yesterday!

Gotta go, everyone is getting up and chattering on about the snow!

Weekend Update

Between feeding THREE sheep

and working on cleaning out our storage junk pig pen out of sight out of mind rooms upstairs I managed to get another rug done and some soap made!
I haven't made soap since October so I may have lost a few of my soapy skills...
I added a tad to much honey which makes it too hot and then causes it to process to fast so I rebatched it and decided to love it up a little with an extra splash of olive oil and that made it a too soft.
Oh well, this will just be a batch that sits on the curing rack a little longer than most and then my family and friends can look forward to some super sweet soft silky soap!

I love the rug.
It's on Etsy ;)

Wendy and Grannybabydaddy came with Grannybaby for dinner last night.
I made my new favorite pork chops but tweaked the recipe a little and ruined everything.
That's so dumb, I don't know why I always try to be Julia freaking Childs and add my own spin to things.
For sh!ts sake it's a campbell soup and ranch dressing recipe, there really isn't anywhere to go with it.
Oh well, they'll just have to come back again and have it done right.
My blueberry cobbler was fabulous though so that kind of made up for the crock pot pork chop fail.

Speaking of my grannybaby I get him for the whole afternoon!
I bet he couldn't even sleep last night just because he's SO excited!

Did you hear about my Snapfish photo experience?
I ordered a ton of photos in every size and then waited patiently by my mailbox for them to arrive and then they came and I opened the envelope and they sucked a$$!
Can you believe that?!
I was so mad!
I was so mad I decided to call them and let them know how disappointed I was and do you know what they did...
Refunded ALL my money.
Yes, you heard me.
They gave me a full refund.
So here's to Snapfish, for providing poor product quality and outstanding customer service.

When my grannybaby is here today I'll take lots of pictures and then send them to not Snapfish to be processed.

Six starts driving log truck again on Monday!
He'll still be working for Safeway but on the days he's not delivering foodstuff he'll be delivering woodstuff.

Happy Saturday

And Judy Had Two!

Judy had TWO babies that look JUST like Butch!

I didn't get any labor and delivery pictures like I did with Bell and Butch but I tell you what, those babies are so cute.
The one twin is a little bit smaller, but very scrappy, and it looks like he has no problem being the first on the food and even willing to fight for it.
Judy (unlike Bell) is an excellent mother and letting them both nurse while she goes out and on about her business.
Bell was lurking around taking inventory of the situation with Judy and the boys while her baby Butch was sleeping comfortably in front of the fire in the living room.
Oh well.
So this spring we have three identical little boys, I can't wait to see what kind of trouble they get into!

I made a rug yesterday.

Pastel purple, pink, yellow and blue flannel and I used narrow strips so it's tight not chunky.
I think I'll make a chunky one today.

I also made some swiffer sweeper covers that I love.
They work great and then I just toss them in the washing machine and I'll never ever have to spend money on swiffer sweeper pads again

Pretty nifty huh?
Ok, that's all.

Another New Baby!

*WARNING*
Graphic Photos Ahead

Guess what we got on Friday!

A brand new grannylamb!

I had gone to Wendy's for the morning and Six had gone to town and when we both got home and through the gate at the same time we noticed that Bell was not her usual loud mouth self.

She was just standing there quietly which if you knew Bell you would know that something must be up.
I drove in the driveway and Six jumped the fence to assess the situation.
It wasn't long before he came in with the news that Bell was about to be a mother!

I couldn't believe it... I didn't know rather I should boil water or rip some sheets so I got on the phone and called my sister.

After about an hour Six came in with the news, it was time, she in full labor.
But she was having a hard time.

So we called for back up from the neighbor Butch who helped Bell deliver the first black sheep of the family!

He was a perfect little lamb and everyone in the barnyard was so excited to see him.

Bell was such a good mom and so loving...

Until he tried to nurse.
Then she tried to kill him.
Every time.

We started him on colostrum right away and bottle fed him in between trying to get Bell to let him latch on, but each time he tried she just became more aggressive trying to stomp him and knocking him down.

We decided that since Bells mother didn't accept her and she was raised in the house...

She just figures it's our job to raise the babies.

And that's ok with me, I love our new baby.

We named him Butch.

After the neighbor who helped him out.
Literally.

The Big Switcharoo

You know ever since we moved here I wanted to be a farmer.
I wanted to plant fruit trees and have a huge pumpkin patch and serve hot cider and sell treats to the kids to feed to the goat and sheep.
I wanted to have a christmas tree patch up above the house and sell hot chocolate and give donkey sleigh rides.
I thought I could grow organic heirloom vegetables in the hunk of pasture beside the house and set up a roadside stand and sell my produce, handmade soaps and canning jar candles.
I had all of these big plans and dreams about being the Fat Bottom Farm (I wanted it to be the Fat Ass Farm, a play on my ass AND our donkeys but it wasn't very family friendly) but somehow we never could pull things together enough to make anything happen and that's ok I guess because now I'm a Grannyma.
I will grow grannybabies.
I will love them and hold them and feed them and wash them and make stuff for them.
I figured people may of been coming here under the assumption of hearing stories and getting tips on actual real farm things so I decided I would go back to where it all began, the trailerparks blog, so as not to be misleading to farmers, and I don't know if I even transferred my domain right so I may be talking to myself right now.
I still have the Grannyma Blog only for those who CHOSE to hear me ramble on about my perfect little fun size grannyman and then on this blog I'll talk about kids and cats and dogs and donkeys and crafts and recipes and all the other stuff we do and if I do grow something to eat I'll take a picture of it and show you.

So here's what's new...

Kenna and her mom Cheryl and her two boys Jared and Ian and Ginger and her daughter Kelsey and her two boys Henry who's two and Finnegan who is BRAND new and Donna came to my house not yesterday but the day before and we had SO much fun!
I was so excited to see everyone that I just went around cleaning toilets and sweeping floors all morning and forgot to put on company clothes so I looked like a crazy cat lady when they got here but I was so excited to see everyone that I really didn't care.
I just walked around pretending in my head that I looked like June Cleaver and that the fat around my neck was really a strand of pearls and had the best time ever.

Here's some pictures.

Fun right!

My favorite fat cat Astro went outside on Monday and never came back.

I was so sad I couldn't even talk about it.
But he came home last night!
But I woke up this morning and he was gone again.
He must be on a big hunt.

My year is almost up with Verizon so I can get a new phone but I think I'm going back to a blackberry 8330 my all time favorite phone instead of upgrading and then I'll go for the two year upgrade next year and maybe get an iPhone.

This is the phone I have now and I don't really like it.

This is my favorite phone in the whole world.

I found a new in the box 8330 on Craigslist last night for fifty bucks.
The guy said something happened to his other one so Verizon sent him a new one and while he was waiting for it to come in the mail he and his wife went to the Verizon store and got iPhones.
He said he'd meet Six at the Verizon store and then they can just do what they do to make my old LG my new used Blackberry.
I know you probably think it's dumb to go back in technology time, but I'm happy there with my buttons and rolly ball.

Did I tell you about the mini chicken pot pies?
O.M.G.
Go here to the Country Cook for the recipe.

I think That's all for today.
